  ‘Guvech’ is the Bulgarian name for our traditional pots, but it is also used to describe some of the most common recipes that can be cooked in our pots. Enjoy! Pork Guvech (5 person) – Pork Casserole What you need (we recommend organic): Diced pork meat 700 gr Butter 100 gr 2 big onions, chopped roughly 100 gr 3 good sized tomatoes, sliced 150 gr 4/5 potatoes, sliced 300 gr Grated cheddar cheese 250 gr 1 teaspoon of red pepper seasoning (paprika) 5 beaten eggs Salt and Parsley for your taste How to cook: - Fry the meat lightly in the butter to seal it
- Add the onion and simmer until the meat and onions are soft
- Add the red pepper seasoning and stir
- Transfer into the cooking pot
- Add the potatoes and tomatoes
- Add ½ cup of boiling water
- Add salt to taste
- Place in the oven at Gas mark 5/150 degrees
- Mix the beaten eggs with the grated cheddar cheese
- After 40 minutes cooking time take out of the oven
- Pour the egg mixture on the top
- Cook for a further 10 minutes
- Decorate with parsley and serve
